Christopher J. Joseph, DO, FACS is a Shenango Valley native. Dr. Joseph is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, receiving his certification in 2012. He completed his undergraduate degree at Allegheny College in Mathematics. He then attended medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Joseph performs plastic surgery of the eyelids and face and has an excellent understanding of ocular and facial anatomy.
This allows him to provide precise treatments tailored to the individual patients’ unique facial anatomy, delivering the best results possible. Dr. Joseph is fellowship-trained in LASER cataract surgery and in the use of advanced technology lens implants (IOLs). He is fellowship-trained in multiple Micro-Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) techniques, including Istent. He is also trained in Oculoplastic surgery. He uses his advanced training to offer the most high-tech eye care and cosmetic care available.
Dr. Joseph one of the few Ophthalmologists in the United States recognized for his excellence by the American College of Surgeons (ACS). In 2018, the ACS nominated Dr. Joseph as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), he is married to his wife Alison since 2016, and they have two children – Isabella, and Logan. As a family, they enjoy any outdoor activity together. Dr. Joseph personally enjoys skiing and weight training, when time allows.
Joseph Eye & Laser is excited to announce that Dr. Joseph is the first surgeon in Northwestern PA to implant the first trifocal intraocular lens, the PanOptix, offered in the U.S.
